American automaker Chevrolet recently announced that their popular Chevrolet Colorado mid-size pickup truck is getting both an engine and transmission upgrade for the 2017 model year.
Replacing the original 305HP, 269 lb-ft torque GM 3.6L V6 will be GM’s new 3.6L V6 which outputs up to 308HP and up to 275 lb-ft of torque. Paired with the new engine is a brand new 8-speed automatic transmission which is expected to improve power delivery and fuel efficiency. Unfortunately, no EPA estimates are available at this time although improvements aren’t expected to be massive over the 2016 model year.
Pricing on the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado is still to be determined at this time.
