Last month, it was reported that Tesla may be gearing up to produce the Model 3 RWD Long Range in China as the vehicle was listed in the China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Recently, approval for Tesla’s Model 3 Long Range was confirmed by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology making it the second Model 3 variant now being produced in China.
The Tesla Model 3 Long Range RWD was previously discontinued in the US market last year, but was the best value in terms of miles per dollar. The vehicle was priced around $43,000 and offered a maximum EPA range of 325 miles (523 km).
It’s unclear whether the Made-in-China Tesla Model 3 Long Range RWD will have the same range or if it’ll be better based on efficiency improvements Tesla has made since last year. The new Made-in-China Tesla Model 3 Long Range RWD has not yet been posted on the Tesla China website.
